The Caribbean is a diverse destination with many people returning time and again to different islands. The turquoise blue waters, sandy beaches and swaying palm trees are consistent throughout the region but the local culture, festivals, sports, activities and wildlife is extremely varied. You can hire a car and self drive in many destinations giving you the freedom to get out and explore.

Island hopping is popular with lots of the islands being close together with a great network of local flights, ferries, cruises and yachts. Countries which are formed by groups of island such as the Bahamas, Caymans, Virgin Islands or St Vincent and Grenadines offer great island hopping combinations without too much travel. There is a fast catamaran ferry service linking Dominica, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Lucia.

Hot and sunny most of the year, The Caribbean is an ideal escape from colder climates.  Hurricane season tends to be July – November but this does vary from island to island. December to March is particularly hot and dry, making it a fabulous wintersun destination. There are lots of private islands or exclusive villas with plunge pools if you would like a family get together, have a group of friends or simply want a luxury private getaway.

Get married on the beach! If you are looking for an overseas wedding, there are plenty of options here, some hotels include the wedding ceremony for free.  It’s a perfect honeymoon destination too with swanky beach hotels and secluded island hideaways.  If water sports are your thing whether it be wind surfing, fishing or sailing, there’s plenty of choice plus many Caribbean cruise options if you prefer to be on a ship visiting different islands.

Many of the islands are covered in lush forests and hide lakes, pools and waterfalls full of exotic plants and wildlife, particularly great for rainforest trails and natural history holidays are Dominica, Guadeloupe and Tobago.  If activity and adventure are your thing, hiking, biking and horse riding are available and don’t forget to take time away from your resort and explore the local towns and villages with the vibrant hospitality of the region round every corner. Dominican Republic is a great option for activities and Trindad and Tobago for culture and wildlife, particularly birdwatching.

Diving and snorkelling of course is amazing here with the underwater life as colourful as that above it!  So have a look through these pages for a small selection of what the region has to offer and contact us to select the perfect island getaway for you, whatever you want to include on your tailor made Caribbean holiday.

Thank you for booking our French Caribbean self guided walking holiday to Guadeloupe and Martinique Travel With Jules adapted the original itinerary by Headwater (the operator) to suit our travel needs from Edinburgh and resolved a ridiculously unnecessary booking on a very early transfer flight at no extra cost to us when Headwater had raised a charge. All I can say is AWESOME!!!!!! The staff and other visitors at The Body Holiday were so friendly, I didn't feel uncomfortable as a solo traveller (after the first fifteen minutes of watching others obviously!) at all. The hosted communal evening meals were lively, friendly, interesting discussions with perfect strangers, several of whom I subsequently spent meal times with. The service was fantastic, the staff were friendly and I will definitely be looking to travel there again. I would also like to say thank you for putting me on to such a wonderful spot and I would love it if more places were so open to solo travellers and accommodating to different needs. All in all I would score it 10 out of 10!

Our holiday to Dominican Republic was a huge success, thank you! We loved the beautifully conceived "travel packs" that added a "wow" factor! The holiday was also a cloak-and-dagger operation for me to propose to Sophie. The hotel excelled itself on providing 10 restaurants with a la carte offerings - food was superb. Thank you for all your help in making this special holiday happen!

Our Caribbean holiday to Antigua was fantastic!! The Inn at English Harbour was really beautiful, quiet and tranquil. Did some excellent snorkelling and a couple of tours as well. Absolutely perfect, certainly one of the best holidays we've had. Thank you so much for organising it, we'll be back for more!

It was lovely to have Jules to sort everything out for us, and it certainly meant that we could relax and get on with organising the other parts of our wedding safe in the knowledge that our honeymoon was being taken care of for us. Everything went as smoothly as it could be from start to finish, we had zero problems throughout.

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
