40 miles to the west of Hong Kong, this is a unique destination in the Far East. Centuries old culture from Portuguese heritage mixed with modern entertainment resorts and world class dining options. There are regular fast ferries from Hong Kong and Macau's International airport is served from many other regional hubs. Macau spent around 450 years under Portuguese administration before being handed back to China and the historic centre of Macau has everything from Taoist temples to 16th century cathedrals and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The mix of Asian and European foods has put Macau firmly on the international culinary radar and even has recognition from Michelin. The latest guides awarded stars to at least 7 restaurants. There is also world class shopping and spas, boutiques and all manner of pampering and treatments. Enjoy the sights of the 338m high Macau Tower and the Science Centre then in the south explore the green countryside and rural villages.
After dark the nightlife of Macau is amazing. Glittering casinos, bars and nightclubs plus the House of the Dancing Water show with high diving acrobatics. There are luxury world class hotels in Macau plus luxury retail outlets including 600 shops on the Cotai Strip. See the harbour by boat and admire the skyline from the water, during the afternoon or evening.
The Banyan Tree hotel in the Galaxy Macau Resort features the world's largest 'skytop' wave pool. On the waterfront is a new rooftop bar, Sky 21, with Asian food, lounge bar and dancing.
