Having started my travel career in Africa as a tour leader for overland expedition companies, this form of adventure travel is always close to my heart.
Over the past decades, technology has driven the need for permanent wifi and connections with the modern world … but there are still parts of our planet where visitors rarely go and adventures await those who crave to escape mainstream travel. Enjoy camping as a hands-on experience in rugged and beautiful landscapes. Expect to sometimes get dusty and dishevelled and not to be able to have hot showers every night!
Oasis Overland was founded 27 years ago and still offers trans-Africa, trans- South America and trans-Asia expeditions.
Expeditions range from short 4 day taster trips to epic 47 week journeys. Everyone is welcome including solo travellers and older adventurous souls! A diverse range of trips are designed for all ages and Oasis also offer dedicated Family tours.
The majority of Oasis overland vehicles are Scania 93 series purpose built trucks made to deal with the terrain and climates encountered along the way on all trips.

Africa Overland with Oasis
A huge variety of itineraries are available to explore the vast continent of Africa and it’s amazing cultures and wildlife.
