Overview & Highlights
An ever popular holiday destination, most people think of Thailand as captivating cities, palm lined beaches, green cloaked mountains and fabulous cuisine … Asia’s ultimate luxury destination … yes it is….
But it’s not until you really get to know the people of Thailand that you experience the real Thailand at all. Its essential, intrinsic nature. Kind, considerate, compassionate Thailand which is ‘the land of smiles’.
Whatever your travel style, rustic and eco or barefoot luxury, nature loving or foodie fixes, we have something for everyone in Thailand!
This is an immersive suggested itinerary, Focusing on beaches and jungles, travelling through Southern Thailand. Ideal for couples or families who love nature and spending time at the beach, in or on the water. Fun, food, interactive experiences and some unusual but quality hotels throughout.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Surround yourself with nature at a treehouse in the jungle canopies of Khao Sok National Park
- Take an early morning jeep ride across the other-worldly savannah on a rugged island off the west coast
- During a stop in Bangkok, take a cycling tour around the city’s unexpected “Green Lung”
- A whole week to enjoy beach life on two little explored idyllic islands, Thailand at its best (from rustic miles-from-anywhere charm to barefoot luxury!)

“Top tip if you visit Bangkok take a ‘Hidden Gardens’ tour – Situated on the banks of a small canal, Poomjal Garden is a welcome oasis right in the heart of the city with commitment to sustainable practice and home to a unique collection of flora and fauna not typically found elsewhere in Bangkok. It is a fantastic environmental project that also functions as an organic farm and restaurant”
The jungle trek takes you to Khao Sok national park, a wild beautiful part of the country and a nature lovers’ dream. The experienced guide will lead you on a full or half-day trek through the park, cutting through small paths, over rocks and through rivers to idyllic natural pools where you can take a refreshing swim. Keep a look out for monkeys and other wildlife which are native to the local area. As darkness falls, your guide will show you how to cook a hearty dinner in the wild, building a fire and serving the meal in bamboo. Definitely not a dining experience you’ll forget!
- Day 1: Depart the UK to Bangkok
- Days 2-4: Bangkok is a bustling metropolis but there are pockets of nature and tranquility if you know where to look. Spend a morning on a leisurely cycling tour around the lush green jungle of Bang Krachao, otherwise known as Bangkok’s ‘Green Lung’; an unlikely oasis in the heart of the city.
- On the second day, enjoy a longtail boat tour of a maze of canals before stopping at a hidden organic farm restaurant for a delicious farm-to-fork lunch.
- Days 5-7: Fly south to Ranong and take a boat to the first of your island stays. On largely undeveloped Koh Phra Thong you’ll check into your private villa at Baba Eco Lodge. Take a jungle trek with a picnic at a secluded beach, get up early for a 4×4 tour of the savannah-like landscape, or discover the rich marine life on a snorkeling tour. And of course, sit back on the beach and enjoy the rugged beauty of the island.
- Days 8-10: Bid farewell to the beach and travel by road to the dense jungle, flowing streams, and beautiful lakes of Khao Sok National Park. Spend two nights in a treehouse and explore the park’s wildlife on night safaris, kayaks, and treks.
- For your third night in the National Park, you will spend the night at a floating resort on Cheow Lan Lake. Breathtaking scenery, what could be better?
- Days 11-14: (Choice of locations) From Khao Sok we suggest either heading to Khao Lak or Koh Yao Noi for the last part of your stay. Khao Lak is on the mainland and closer to the National Park, Bangsak Village is a great hotel option here but only accepts guests over 12.
- Alternatively travel by road to Phuket and get a boat to the island of Koh Yao Noi. Here we suggest Koyao Island Resort, a beautifully ‘barefoot’ property ideal for grown-up backpackers and their (lucky!) offspring. You can explore this relatively sleepy island by bike, canoeing through mangroves, and taking a Thai cooking class before sundowners at a relaxed beach bar. Snorkelling trips are available and there are small islands and villages to explore nearby.
- Day 15: Transfer to Krabi or Phuket airport and fly home

A huge thank you to you for putting it all together and making it happen. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for – and it was done in style.
