Overview & Highlights

A truly inspirational small group tour in September 2024. The itinerary takes a maximum of 6 lucky participants in two 4WD vehicles on the journey of a lifetime – filled with awe-inspiring wildlife encounters, stunning scenery, and warm, hospitable people.

Spend time tracking endangered Mountain gorillas in Uganda and/or Rwanda, something with which few wildlife experiences anywhere in the world can compare.

Learn about Mountain gorilla and wildlife conservation through the eyes of the local rangers, the guides, wardens and various specialists during talks, presentations, and discussions with the Gorilla Doctors/Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project; the Lion Monitoring/Uganda Carnivore Predator Programme, and the Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH) organisation.

Jules Croucher

“If there is one ‘must do’ wildlife experience in Africa it is having the privilege to observe close up the Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda and Uganda … live your own ‘David Attenborough’ moment!”

Pink flamingo flying

Jimmy was a fantastic guide, thank you Jules for getting him on the trip with us. Virunga lodge was a little paradise on earth with beautiful sunsets and sunrises, great food, lovely people that wanted to do anything for us, just amazing. We saw the gorillas on all 3 days – incredible!
