Overview & Highlights

The Galápagos Islands, known as the ‘Enchanted Isles’ sit in isolation in the Pacific Ocean, 1000 km off the coast of mainland Ecuador and for centuries remained far removed from the influences of mankind.

Created from volcanoes pushing their way through the surface of the ocean, UNESO World Heritage Site consists of sun-baked and misty islands of twisted lava, jagged cliffs and scrubby forest seem an unlikely habitat for wildlife.

Over 200 recorded species of birds, reptiles and marine mammals, have evolved here and many are found nowhere else on Earth making this a must see location for the wildlife enthusiast!

Your journey starts in Quito where you can explore Ecuador’s fascinating highland capital, before continuing on to the wildlife wonders of the Galápagos Islands.

  • Snorkelling & world class Scuba diving holidays
  • Barefoot paradise, wild and untouched
  • Reef flats expeditions
  • Conservation projects
  • Turtle tracking
  • Manta Ray identification

Alongside Madagascar, the Galapagos Islands are top of many wildlife lovers’ wish list with the huge number of endemic species. An island-hopping cruise is the best way to experience all that this unique destination has to offer. Ask me about combining a Galapagos cruise with mainland Ecuador and maybe spend time in the Amazon too, for a completely different wildlife habitat.”

The price shown here are for the ‘Galápagos Treasure’, which is one of our most popular vessels and offers fresh, modern and spacious accommodation at a great price.

The Treasure operates three different itineraries of varying length, all visiting different regions, on different dates. Each of the island’s has its own unique sense of wonder, but over the course of most voyages, passengers should get to see the majority, if not all, of the most iconic wildlife species.

The journey included here is a 5-day, 4-night cruise:

  • Day 1: Arrive in Quito and transfer to hotel.
  • Day 2: Guided walking tour of Quito.
  • Day 3: Fly to the Galápagos Islands and board the ‘Treasure of Galápagos’.
  • Days 4-6: Land excursions on the Galápagos Islands.
  • Day 7: Fly to Guayaquil and connect with your international flight home or extend your stay on the mainland.

This is just one example of a week’s Galapagos Cruise. We can create your own bespoke holiday to South America to include the Galapagos as part of a longer trip, with a huge variety of vessels.

“We had an amazing time! We really loved Peru and enjoyed all the different experiences and places. Definite highlights were the jungle, our stay at Sol y Luna in the Sacred Valley and the activities there, and finally the lovely reed island stay on Lake Titicaca.”
