Search for your perfect holiday
We love East Africa and have been fortunate to have travelled to Kenya and Tanzania on many occasions, but this was a big year for me and we wanted to see gorillas and hopefully chimps, so decided that Rwanda would be the place to go. We knew little about Rwanda other than the gorillas and its shocking history of the early 90′s so we contacted Julie to discuss our requirements for this trip. Her knowledge of wildlife tourism to Africa is nothing short of excellent, she always comes up with some gems of ideas that you would never think of or find for yourself. This time she even made arrangements with the ground operator for us to be escorted by Jimmy Bilima, a freelance guide known to Julie, this was the icing on the cake for a trip that totally exceeded our expectations.
Yes we saw gorillas and chimps, which were just amazing experiences, but Rwanda has far more to offer than that. It is a safe and stunning country that is incredibly clean (there is no litter anywhere) and full of friendly, welcoming people who are rightly proud of the country that they are creating. We just loved it, so would have no hesitation at all in recommending Rwanda as a holiday destination, in fact would encourage anyone with an interest in wildlife, culture, history or just travelling in Africa to visit. As for Julie and the services she provides through Travel with Jules, well we will be using her again, she provides an excellent service. Thanks Jules, we’ll be back.
