Pearman Family – Canada (March 2016)

You gave us good knowledge of the county which gave me confidence in you from our first conversation. Easy to communicate with and get hold of. I always want to feel in control of my holiday and I felt able to discuss and make changes to your initial itinerary – I liked that fact that it felt like a work in progress rather than a case of ‘it’s this or nothing’!

Highlights included the Skiing in Whistler which was amazing. The location of the accommodation was pretty good (even a 2 minute walk in ski boots is hard work, but we had about a 7 or 8 minute walk – any closer though and I think there would have been too much late night partying noise!). The excursions and private transfers: I don’t know if they are companies that you have used before, but I would certainly recommend them. Alwin on the Niagara Falls trip from Toronto was excellent and deserves a special mention as do the 2 drivers who did our private transfers.

One thing in particular that we were really impressed with were the drivers that took us to Whistler and back. It was like having our own private tour guides. They each passed on a wealth of really interesting information and useful local knowledge and went out of their way to show us how beautiful their country is, asking us if we wanted to stop at a special viewing spot one way and a beautiful water fall the other way which of course we were very happy to do. They offered an excellent door to door service, above and beyond what was necessary.

Vancouver was amazing. As well as the whale-watching we organised a Float plane ride – I imagine it was the same company you offered us and I would definitely recommend it. We had a plane just for the 8 of us and 5 of us got to sit in the cockpit during the flight. Adults and children alike thought it was amazing. We arranged an ice-hockey match. This was a great experience – it might be something you want to think about offering clients. Hockey is BIG in Canada so a great thing to experience.

Our accommodation in Vancouver was incredible. The area we stayed in really made our holiday. Kitsilano really is beautiful and meant we enjoyed our holiday even more. We were right next to the beach and the Sea Wall and having this outside your door rather than being in the heart of the city was fantastic. I reckon apartments near to false creek, Granville Island or being in the nearest lot of accommodation to Sunset Beach or English Bay beach would also be good so you get the head space offered by being near a bit of nature which is such a big part of Vancouver. Capilano suspension bridge was another trip we organised that I would definitely recommend. You get a free bus from near Canada Place and it’s just the other side of Stanley Park over the bridge. A bike ride around Stanley Park (we hired bikes near to Granville Island) and false creek was also great – pretty much cycle paths the whole way and a great way to see a lot.

Thanks Jules! We had an amazing time! Thanks for your part in putting the majority of the holiday together. I’ve already recommended your services to several friends.
