An affordable South Africa Kruger Safari. Many small group and escorted tours only glimse at the Kruger National Park with maybe 2 days there if you lucky. Tailor made trips can always be made but they are a little on the pricey side for most peoples budgets. This is a small group safari departure which spends all it's time in the region of the Kruger and also gives an insight to the wildlife conservation of the area.
There are monthly departures apart from all year with prices from £1,849 pp (including flights from UK).
The Kruger National Park is South Africa's largest and most prolific conservation area. With 14 different eco-zones, a surface area of 19,000 square kilometres and more mammals than any other game reserve on the continent, the park's notoriety is well deserved. There are also private reserves and conservancies around the 'Greater' Kruger surrounding the National Park.
This trip is based inside the park for four days going on game drives in a specially designed open vehicle with specialist guides using parks accommodation which is fairly basic but clean and well positioned. You should see many of Kruger's animals including lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, rhinos, elephant and numerous others.
Before visiting Kruger National Park you will spend some time at the Moholoholo rehabilitation centre which takes in abandoned, injured and poisoned animals. The centre is a highly regarded contributor to wildlife conservation and you can see how they care for birds and mammals and observe them from close up before admiring them in their natural habitat.
The group size is usually between 6 - 16 with a local guide, you travel in a private mini bus and open game viewing vehicles. No meals are included as you can buy them to suit your budget along the way.
