With 1778km of coastline and 1185 offshore islands, the Dalmatian Coast is one of the true wonders of Europe. Said to have the clearest waters in the Mediterranean, and undoubtedly packed with historic and cultural interest, cycling through its islands is a unique experience. From Split almost until you reach Dubrovnik, your journey takes place on the long and beautiful islands of Hvar and Korcula, travelling by bike and ferry.
The scenery alternates between seaside villages, tiny mediaeval walled towns and lovely quiet pebble bays, set against a backdrop of pine forests and mountains. Ending with the red roofs of Dubrovnik, the proud port that once rivalled Venice in wealth and influence you have two nights here to soak up the atmosphere of this uniquely preserved city.
You will have a local leader on this trip and stay in small locally run hotels and use their restaurants and markets along the way.
