There are endless options and we can put together a self drive holiday to suit your individual requirements but here are some ideas, amongst the most famous and favourite to get you started.
Pacific Rim Highway This route in British Columbia cuts through the heart of Vancouver Island from Parksville in the east to the small town of Tofino on the west Pacific coast. It's only 150 km but takes you through ancient forests, mountain ranges and lakes. Visit Clayoquot Sound a UNESCO reserve.
Sea to Sky Highway Also in British Columbia, this two hour drive connects Horseshoe Bay to just beyond Whistler, it was upgraded for the Winter Olympics of 2010 and has amazing mountain and fjord views.
Icefields Parkway in Alberta provides endless miles of stunning scenery through the Rocky Mountains. Take in the Icefield Glacier Adventure or relax in the Rockies Hot Springs. Highway 93 runs through Banff and Jasper National Parks.

Cabot Trail is a 300km drive in Nova Scotia with views of the Gulf of St Lawrence and the Atlantic Ocean. The best time to experience this is in Autumn with the 'Celtic Colours' Festival and adventure tours in Cape Breton Island and history tours at Fortress Louisbourg.
Fundy Coastal Drive in New Brunswick is an amazing trip along nearly 400km between St Stephen and Sackville which includes the 'Bay of Fundy' where 100 billion tons of water fills and empties the bay twice a day creating the highest tides in the world.
The Ice Road in the Yukon is an ancient corridor between the Pacific and the Arctic, used by wildlife and traders for centuries. Passing through mountains, tundra and river deltas it's an adventure best taken on a guided tour and taking in the Klondike National Historic Site.
