Considered part of Australasia, the South Pacific Islands have to be the ultimate in ‘Robinson Crusoe’ islands! Fabulous for honeymoons, but great for anyone who wants to get away to the other side of the earth … Paradise tropical islands, turquoise waters and coral reefs, palm fringed sandy beaches and thatched huts. The Pacific is the world largest ocean and has amazing reefs and beaches to be explored. Often seen as a stop over destination on a round-the-world-trip but deserving of a longer stay!

Holidays to Fiji
Fiji has over 300 islands and is an iconic South Pacific paradise! Beautiful lagoons and coral islands are sounded by rainforest and beaches. Cruises and sailing holidays can be arranged here and it is of course a superb destination for snorkelling and scuba diving.
For the ultimate honeymoon, try Matamanoa Island Resort which is a private island 30km west of the main island. Pristine beaches and bright blue waters abound. This boutique hotel is adults only and has 33 guest rooms. Or for 5 star luxury, head to Likuliku Lagoon Resort on Malolo Island, a couples only resort with 45 bures (water villas). Other fabulous options for Fiji include Tokoriki Island resort on the Mamanucas which is also adults only or Castaway Island which caters for families with a baby sitting service. For those who prefer large international style hotels there is the huge Seraton Fiji, Intercontinental or Outrigger on the Lagoon (but personally I would much prefer one of the smaller private islands!).
Fijian Island Cruising offers you a perfect setting for your holiday through the Yasawa Islands off the north west coast of the main island. The MV Reef Endeavour is a small ship with a maximum of 140 guests, there are family cabins as well as singles and twins. Being a small ship, you can get into shallow bays and negotiate remote reefs and islands. Onboard reef vessels include a glass bottom boat, snorkelling and dive tenders where you can explore the underwater world. Various cruises available include a 3 night Southern Yasawa Islands Cruise, a 4 night Northern Yasawa Islands Cruise or a 7 night Yasawa Islands Cruise combining them both. This is just one of many cruises or boating options I can book for you around Fiji.
Holidays to The Cook Islands
Still, thankfully, unaffected by mass tourism – so go soon before they are truly discovered! Raratonga is the main island and is a lush, tropical paradise surrounded by turquoise clear waters and pristine sand banks. 50 minutes by sea plane takes you to the paradise island of Aitutaki with a spectacular lagoon full of marine life. Accommodation choices here include the Crown Beach Resort which has 36 luxury villas and is adults only, the Pacific Resort with just 27 bungalows or the Pacific Resort on Rarotonga which is good for families and has a kids club.
A suggested itinerary for 7 days in the Cook Islands could include 3 nights on Rarotonga with an island discovery tour visiting ancient sacred tribal sites and the historic departure point of the Seven Canoes, then fly to Aitutaki where you have another 3 nights including a tour to Bishops Lagoon with a fish barbeque.
Holidays to Samoa
This is a great place for experiencing authentic Polynesia. A beautiful, wild, heaven! Perfect for honeymooners, surfers and scuba diving. The friendly Samoan culture can be enjoyed on Upolu, the main island and sister island, Savaii offers no end of adventure with crater lakes, wildlife, waterfalls and hiking trails. Stay at the Sinalei Reef Resort and Spa for boutique luxury with just 29 rooms surrounded by lush green tropical forest.
A suggested itinerary for 5 days in Samoa would include flying to Upolu for 2 nights, sightseeing stroll the waterfront of the capital, browse the markets, learn abou the cheifly families of Samoa and visit the museum and home of author and adventurer Robert Louis Stevenson. Then a full day touring the pretty villages of the north coast and Piula Cave Pool and waterfalls. Head along the south coast to the Toosua Trenches where great lava trenches open into the earth revealing the ocean below. Two nights in Upolum full day to unwind and enjoy the turquoise waters, lagoons and sunsets. Then transfer back to the airport.

Holidays to Bora Bora, Tahiti - French Polynesia
This string of islands is covered by tropical forests and volcanic peaks. Tahiti is the main island and the most well known, famous for the landing of Captain Cook and you can visit the museum here and enjoy amazing views. Bora Bora is something from a story book, with magical crystal clear waters and lagoons. The heart shaped island of Moorea has lush forest covered mountains plunging into emerald waters. As you would expect there are plenty of large hotel resorts here, one of the smaller is the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort which is a small island with just 37 rooms.
A suggested itinerary for 7 days in French Polynesia could include a night on Tahiti then ferry to Moorea Island including an evening at Tiki Village for traditional food and entertainment, then transfer to Bora Bora and enjoy the stunning beaches.
