In Africa, Botswana and Zambia have some great safaris at the end of ‘the rains’ with great game viewing before the main peak season. The Okavango floods start to trickle down to the Delta and the land starts to shrink back, attracting animals to the water and Victoria Falls still has a good flood.   Madagascar is lovely in June and it’s a cooler time to visit Namibia – perfect for a self drive tour amongst spectacular desert scenery. The wildebeest are gathering in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti and starting to move towards the Masai Mara in Kenya.

If you want to cross Asia on a Trans-Siberian Railway June is a great time to travel to Mongolia, which has a very short accessible season from May to September. Along with other parts of Central Asia, this makes June and good time to travel the Silk Route.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and Uganda is good June to September when the conditions are less wet (though these are rainforests so it can be slippery at any time!).

Around the Mediterranean, smaller islands are starting to open up now and it’s a great time to escape to Spring sunshine before the school holidays start next month! Amongst popular Greek islands is Kefalonia, the ’emerald’ island which is beautiful and lush with small B&Bs and villas on offer. Or head to romantic Santorini before the crowds descend!

Greece-Santorini

Italy and the Amalfi Coast are gorgeous in June, stroll along the promenades of Sorrento or hop over to Sicily and explore the historic sites of Taormina and take a boat to the volcanic Aeolian Islands. For a fabulous cookery and food experience let us take you to Al Vecchio in a pretty hill village near Bologna.  City breaks throughout Europe are popular in June, sit on a sunny terrace in France and watch the world go by or wander the spas and markets of Budapest.  It’s also a great time for cycling holidays in Europe.

In North America, June is popular on our favourite Bucket List holiday Route 66! Follow your dreams from Chicago to Santa Monica or drive the Pacific Coast from Seattle to San Diego.

USA-Golden-Gate-at-night

We did it! Nearly 5 weeks, nearly 4000 miles, 23 beds ending at our regular holiday home resort near San Diego. Met some wonderful characters, seen a lot of sights and eaten in countless eateries, some really great and others perhaps not so. We actually met up with Jerry Mclanahan (author of EZ66) who duly signed our book and took photos, I was 66 that day, on Route 66 meeting the author! Some of the hotels were really wonderful. Loads of souvenirs, loads of photos to sort through and lots of memories and events to 'dine out on'. Thank you so much for your organisation, everything went well and worked seamlessly...

This was our 3rd holiday booked with Travel With Jules. Everything was perfect - the details about the cruise, the paper work, including the little Bruges guide and the map you sent us. Bruges is a beautiful and charming city. Thank you Jules and Mags for organising it. We have already booked our next holiday to Sicily with TWJ and highly recommend their travel services.
Anna Alcalde-Mills – Cruise to Belgium (May-June 2017)

We loved The Pelion and Pounda Paou so much when you picked it for us in June, we had to go back again!

Well what a fantastic time we have had in Majorca. We can not thank Jules and Mags enough. The team at Travel with Jules do not just 'do holidays' they create memories and priceless family time together. Our days were relaxed and we made full use of the car hire exploring the island. In the evenings we walked along the promenade in Port de Pollenca we had our evening meals in different local restaurants. I could not find fault with any of our package booked with Travel with Jules. The personal service from Jules and Mags was a highlight and the build up and excitement!

I have always been an independent traveller booking the holidays by myself as I found it was the only way to get what I wanted, however with Jules, I have found she has a great understanding of what customers need and since she organised our USA road trip last year I have not considered the DIY option any more. Jules and Mags managed to find a perfect holiday again, within the budget, leaving the time for me to plan what I want to do during the holiday. We loved being able to discover the island at leisure, this was the best part of our holiday. The information we received in advance (booking pack with maps, leaflets) was extremely helpful....
Anna Alcalde-Mills – Greece, Kefalonia (May 2016)

The trip was brilliant and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to arrange something similar for other clients. This was not a holiday ..it was an adventure…a true road trip! 3500 miles all together. Upgraded to a Mustang convertible at Chicago to ensure the experience was fully authentic, thank you for working so hard to put the […]

Great trip and all your arrangements just fell into place perfectly. We saw everything that we could expect to see (including the longed for leopards!), staff were all extremely helpful and the accommodation just at the level we had hoped for on safari in remote places (stayed at Kapani, Kakuli & Chongwe).  We particularly enjoyed […]

Just returned from our fabulous holiday that you arranged for us to Malaysia. Julie has been the most helpful, patient & greatest person to organise this trip for me & my best friend Liz. We have just returned back from the USA, driving Route 66, WOW, what an adventure Julie organised for us!

June 24, 2012

We have just returned from a fantastic time in Malawi and Zambia – our first venture into Africa. Nothing was too much trouble and Julie always found the time to talk to us, answer our many questions and clarify every detail. We would not hesitate in recommending Travel with Jules to anyone who wanted first class, worry free, personal travel services.
Dianne & David Gazeley – Malawi & Victoria Falls (June 2012)
June 15, 2012

As a result of her extensive knowledge of Africa Julie fully understood my requirements and delivered a holiday which my son will never forget in Zambia. We could not fault the travel arrangements and were made to feel welcome where ever we went by all representatives and the staff of the camps we stayed at in South Luangwa and through their extensive knowledge of the local wildlife we truly experienced the magic of Africa.
Chris & Izaak – Zambia (June 2012)
June 11, 2012

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
