African Safaris in July can be enjoyed in many destinations – in Southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia and Botswana) it’s a cooler more comfortable time of year to travel and in Zambia, Malawi and East Africa, all the parks are open after the long rains. Weather on the Indian Ocean coast is improving all the time and the Great Migration arrives into Kenya’s Masai Mara! Head to Madagascar to see the Lemurs and other endemic wildlife and enjoy beautiful castaway beaches on the small tropical islands to the north around Nosy Be.
In Europe the school summer holidays see the mass exodus for family holidays from the UK heading all over the world! Think carefully though before booking your July – August summer holidays, a lot of places in the southern hemisphere or in the Indian Ocean and SE Asia can be quite rainy and Cape Town for example experiences quite cold Atlantic winters at times. Contact us for advice on the best location for your family holiday. If you don’t like too much heat and want to stay in Europe why not head to the Nordic countries? Norway offers spectacular scenery around the Fjords and many self drive options, as do the Baltic countries of Latvia or Estonia. If you do want to stay in Europe we can help with a huge range of hotels and beach holidays.
Iceland is ever popular in the summer holidays, it’s a great time of year for self drive holidays here. Lots of adventures here include whale watching and seeing the many glaciers and geysers of this volcanic landscape.
Canada is very popular through the summer months with the Rocky Mountains being truly spectacular and bear sightings on the increase in British Columbia. Take the train across from Toronto to Calgary and through the Rockies to Vancouver, or self drive and travel over to Vancouver Island from where you can enjoy whale and bear watching tours.
