We were lucky with the weather temperatures reached 30C the first week of October! The location at Le Lavandou was perfect with a great view over the sea from our apartment. The resort we stayed was paradise & reaches the sea with a lovely stroll through wild natural palms, exotic plants to the resort beach - quite small but crystal clear sea water, mountains surrounding it and long walks along the coast possible.
It was a very last minute trip to Amsterdam, but the help and organisation was just what we needed to make the trip happen; advice when we needed it; knowledge that meant the hotel chosen was in the right area and suited our needs; accommodated our changes of mind :) Loved breakfast at the hotel! Also really enjoyed Anne Frank house, Van Gogh museum, Nero science museum, canal trip, hiring a bike, Jewish quarter, people watching, finding a great cafe that made amazing apple tart while we watched and adapted the menu to suit our tastes :)
The travel and private meet and greet transfer on arrival went smoothly (even though it was bank holiday weekend!). The hotel was lovely (Palazzo Giovanelli) and had great views - very close to the Rialto Bridge. Venice has so much to offer and plenty of restaurant choices, but as expected very expensive. The guided tours are necessary to get a real understanding of the city.
Understanding the client brief is key and both Mags and Julie do this very well. The ease of booking is great and nothing appears too much trouble. Quick response rate and friendly service. Menorca was suggested to us by Travel with Jules and they came up trumps! Our James Villa was exceptional, and larger than we even anticipated! The place was secluded and private yet only two mins from facilities and amenities. This was our third villa holiday booking with Travel With Jules and we are never disappointed.
Our honeymoon to Chile & Argentina was smoothly organised – our wishes were listened to and met, and changes were absorbed and dealt with, without fuss. Excellent service throughout. Highlights were Easter Island and the Atacama Desert … Travel With Jules took the time to get the details perfected - Jules listened to my requests, sorted out an itinerary, worked on the changes and then dealt with further changes (of mind) without any fuss. A first class service and highly recommended. This was a honeymoon trip to Chile and Argentina and it was a truly wonderful holiday.
You listened to what I wanted to do and see, and found me a package that delivered exactly that. Highlights included staying in villages, Chandelao Garh - with a tour of surrounding hamlets, Jojawr Ravla - with a Ganesh procession complete with powder paint throwing and a trip on a local railway where the train stopped just for me to take a picture of a Banyan tree! Visiting a Marwari horse stud in Jodhpur; shopping in Jaipur. The guide was so knowledgeable about the area, and really good at finding out what we were interested in and tailoring the holiday accordingly.
Thank you both for the holiday of a lifetime. It really was the perfect honeymoon! Very happy with everything that Travel with Jules did for us and would definitely recommend them as a travel company. All travel documents were sent to us promptly and a private car to take us to the airport from Suffolk was also organised which was lovely. Highlights included visiting the Gili Islands and the cooking classes - we LOVED Balinese food! I cannot recommend Travel With Jules enough for booking any future holidays – Jules and Margaret are both highly professional and friendly and will do everything to ensure that you have the holiday of a lifetime.
We had a fantastic week in the Lake District. The weather was glorious, it only rained on one day with a slight shower as we were climbing Coniston Old Man but apart from that we were dry and even had blue skies (see photo) !! The cottage was also ideal, great location - co-op within 100 yds as well as a selection of pubs and cafes in the village and plenty of walks within a short drive - it was also very well set out and very tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend it and would probably go back.
Thank you for booking our lovely holiday to Rhodes. The Atrium Prestige was beautiful, the food at the hotel was very nice, service at the restaurants and beach bar very professional. The sea was amazingly clear as you can see from all the fish pictures Leo took whilst snorkelling! Waters were crystal clear and not too cold to swim in just fab - overall this holiday was another winner, thanks so much! Rebecca x
This Safari was a repeat visit to a country after many years of safaris elsewhere in Africa and India, and it did not disappoint. In fact I am happy to say it was probably the best ever I can remember (and if Jules was responsible for the sole use of vehicle and guide at both Mara North and Valley camps - thanks for using your influence with the Kicheche Camps!). Using the smaller camps in the Masai conservancies of Mara North and Naboisho meant low vehicle numbers and sightings were often enjoyed in splendid isolation, with the freedom to drive off road too. I have just returned from experiencing the most perfect adventure....
We spent a week in Sicily this July all organised by Travel by Jules. This is our 4th holiday with them and as always everything has been great. Sicily is a beautiful island, everything was well organised by Jules and Mags as expected. We received some information about Sicily before hand (thank you so much for the map) and once there it felt stress free the resort chosen was very good and we took advantage of the free bus trip to Taormina. Thank you Jules and Mags it was a great holiday.
We had a fabulous holiday to Corfu thank you! We opted for Kalami Bay in Corfu (home of The Durrells) Things we enjoyed most included; The little bay next to Kalami – Kouloura – had a great little beach and top taverna (Taverna Kouloura); Driving off the beaten track and exploring the little mountain villages, like Sinardes. High points provided spectacular views; Reading two Durrell books overlooking The White House!
Thank you for making it happen we will come back to Travel With Jules again.
The whole trip was great, you chose lovely accommodation - just what we wanted. Highlights included beach life in Naxos, village in Crete, awesome sights in Santorini, and Athens is one of our favourite places. If I had to choose the best, the small hotel in Panoramos was fantastic and we enjoyed the ferries between islands etc. and the friendliness & service of the Greek people.
Everything was truly amazing. I've never had a holiday like it and it felt great to be honouring my parent's legacy and their last wishes which was "Go somewhere special together - hang the expense! I loved the TWJ travel wallet and luggage tags - we never felt like we were 'just a customer" or that something couldn't be done or that they were trying to hard sell me at any time. I certainly enjoyed a very special holiday indeed.
Loved Kefalonia and Assos as you had said we would. Good job, you! Managed to do 400 km in the little Fiat Panda so must have had fun in the sun. Cavos Inn was fine, the view from room 7 was probably better than the front sea view ones as we got to see the village as well. Good time had by both, only spoiled by coming back! We loved the holiday - thanks again!!
We did it! Nearly 5 weeks, nearly 4000 miles, 23 beds ending at our regular holiday home resort near San Diego. Met some wonderful characters, seen a lot of sights and eaten in countless eateries. We actually met up with Jerry Mclanahan (author of EZ66) who duly signed our book and took photos, I was 66 that day, on Route 66 meeting the author! Some of the hotels were really wonderful. Thank you so much for your organisation, everything went well and worked seamlessly...
This was our 3rd holiday booked with Travel With Jules. Everything was perfect - the details about the cruise, the paper work, including the little Bruges guide and the map you sent us. Bruges is a beautiful and charming city. Thank you Jules and Mags for organising it. We have already booked our next holiday to Sicily with TWJ and highly recommend their travel services.
As a very busy local business owner and family man I do not have the time or energy to flick through hundreds of High Street Travel agents brochures. This is why I use Julie and Mags at Travel with Jules. These lovely ladies ask questions and talk to you to find what your "perfect" holiday would be. Having booked several times with them they now know what we as a family enjoy doing on holiday.
From the beginning the professionalism and communication from Travel With Jules was brilliant and I couldn't have asked for more. I really believe I'll never go through another travel agent again. It was the most amazing holiday, seeing magnificent animals, I had a tear when I saw the blue whale! You arranged an amazing trip, thank you so much.
Everything was done well from Travel with Jules' side. The trip was in itself one big continuous highlight! We took a camper van from north to south island.
