OUTLINE ITINERARY

Day 1

TRAVEL TO LEVI

Fly to Kittila and transfer to Levi. Spend two nights in a Golden Crown glass igloo, located on the edge of a fell and surrounded by nature. Each glass-ceilinged igloo has a fully-equipped kitchenette, shower and toilet. At the centre of each is a motorised double bed from which you can watch the northern lights dancing across the night sky! Upgrade to a Premium Igloo for uninterrupted panoramic views across the snowy fell.

Day 2

LEVI

The flat area surrounding the fell is ideal for activities such as cross-country skiing, dog sledging and snowmobiling. Make use of a free day to take part in exhilarating winter activities and perhaps take an evening northern lights snowmobile safari before retreating to the igloo to drift off under the starry night sky. Ask us to pre-book optional activities.

Day 3

ICE HOTEL

Check in to the Levi Ice Gallery for an overnight stay in an ice room. Each year the impressive snow castle is newly built for winter. Discover the fairytale snow hotel, snow chapel, ice bar and ice art gallery, and perhaps enjoy dinner by the fire in the Lappish Hut restaurant before snuggling into sleeping bags for a sub-zero night. Each magical ice room is individually decorated with ice sculptures, snow reliefs and lights.

Day 4

LEVI

Perhaps pay an optional visit to the Luvattumaa River Spa before checking out. The natural spa has hot and cold open-air baths, traditional sauna and ice sauna are the perfect way to rejuvenate body and soul. Transfer to the Hullo Poro (Crazy Reindeer) Hotel in the centre of Levi and spend the day at leisure. Perhaps take an optional ice fishing safari, travelling by snowmobile to a private fishing lake and drilling into the ice to fish for rainbow trout.

Don’t miss a final opportunity to search for the ethereal northern lights after dark. For an end-of-holiday treat, we recommend the legendary Lapland à la carte restaurant, Valkea Vaadin, in Levin Tori square, where Nordic game and fresh local fish are served in atmospheric Lappish style.

Day 5

LEVI TO THE UK

Transfer to Kittila airport for the return flight to the UK.

Thank you for booking another amazing holiday for us! Excellent communication about travel details, quick response to any questions and good advice about which trip would suit us best as I was finding it a minefield of possibilities! Highlights were Husky sledding, snowmobiling and the reindeer farm, but really we loved it all. Will be back to book the next holiday!

The trip was amazing! Everything went smoothly - pre travel we received great service from Travel With Jules - Timely communication, great information. All worked well. Nellim Wilderness Lodge was amazing. The staff and the Nordic reps (Katie and Chloe) were fabulous with the children. If I had to pick two highlights it would be the Husky sledging and the Northern Lights.

Thank you so much for sorting this out - what a superb break. We are totally knackered now but a awesome getaway! Airline was great (Norwegian), overnight excursion with snow mobiles and dog sledding at Camp Tamok (stayed in Aurora cabin) was superb we really enjoyed it.

The meeting with Santa was perfect, they took us out on a snow mobile excursion then as we got to the forest we could see lights flickering in a cabin and went to take a look and found Santa! All the activities plus sledging was right outside the lodge. We loved it so much we might go back again!

In my view life is too short NOT to use Julie's experience and contacts when booking a holiday! I couldn't recommend Travel With Jules more highly.

We got back from our holiday to Sweden yesterday and I just wanted to say thank you, it was great! The Tree Hotel was fabulous but it is a bit of a hike up hill in the dark on slippery walkways! Talking to the other guests, the blue cone room we had may not be a […]

I just wanted to say thanks for arranging our holiday to Finland, you came up trumps again! The resort had everything we wanted, as you had told us, so we were able to go skiing as well as all the excursions (dog sledding, snowmobiles) you booked for us. The snow and scenery were fantastic, just like the brochure, which was amazing. And it was VERY cold. Quite an experience. So thanks again for your patience, understanding and organisation. We will be back, so brace yourself!

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for organizing at late notice our holiday to Sweden. We had the most amazing time and got to see the Northern Lights on three nights, so we were really lucky. The trips were very well organized, the food was delicious and the people were charming. Camp Ripan was a great place to stay too. Thanks again for making it all happen for us.

The tree hotel in Sweden was fantastic, we loved it and stayed in the Mirror Cube, when we woke up there were 12 reindeer asleep below the cube. Loved all excursions and cooking on an open fire in the forest in the snow was something else!

Thank you for organising such a great schedule for us on our recent trip to Norway, especially at such short notice and with so much demand this season for Northern Lights. The Igloo Hotel was a sight to behold, the level of detail they go to throughout but particularly for the little chapel was amazing.

March 27, 2012

We found Julie on line after reading that the Northern Lights were predicted to be exceptional in 2012 but didn't know how to book the best trip. She came up trumps with a snow shoeing holiday in Finland, good fun, active but not too challenging. The lights were spectacular and the eco camp a wonderful experience.

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
