Jordan

Tailor made holidays & small group tours to Jordan.

Jordan is a wonderful friendly country, with dramatic scenery and masses of historical sights.  Great for families and group adventure trips, you can pack a lot into a week here!  Flights into Amman are regular and you can combine it easily with Israel for a longer insight to the region.

One of Jordan’s highlights is Petra, the ‘rock city’ which was recently classified as one of the ‘new’ seven wonders of the world, having been lost for a millennium. Take a guide tour here through the Siq Canyon to the ‘rose red city’ that opens onto the Treasury tomb.  Visit again at night for an extraordinary sight of thousands of candles lighting up the steps and the tomb on a Petra by night excursion. For foodies, there is a Petra Kitchen where you can learn the art of local traditional cooking from local chefs. Each meal includes a soup, hot and cold mezzes and mains and you get to eat the food you have prepared!

To explore and experience the desert, and the realms of Indiana Jones, book a night out at a Bedouin Camp in the red dunes of Wadi Rum desert.  Sleep in safari style tents with mattress and blankets or outside under the stars.  There is no electricity out here so enjoy the splendours of the night sky. You can also take safaris in the desert by jeep or camel.

Luxury Jordan can be experienced at one of the many high class spas and hotels with plenty of varieties of mud and salt treatments and therapies. The Dead Sea which borders Jordan and Israel is the deepest saline lake in the world at 420 metres below sea level and 300 metres deep.  The benefits of bathing (and floating!) in it’s waters have been praised for centuries. Head south to Aqaba for some Red Sea down time with beach and snorkelling.

The many sights to be seen around Jordan include Jerash, Amman, Desert Castles, Umm Qais and Pella, Madaba and Mount Nebo (believed to be the sight of Moses Tomb) and Bethany.

We also work with specialist natural history and birding tour operators and can offer a range of small group, expert led birding holidays to Jordan.

Here are just two popular tours – contact us for full itinerary details and departure dates. (Jordan tour is from £3,495 pp and the Birds & Archaeology tour is from £2,395 pp)

Just back from Jordan & Israel - a brilliant holiday. We had a fantastic time and never at any stage was there any doubt about the arrangements. We greatly appreciate all the hard graft you put in to make things happen for us, and the planning with you and expectation of things to come doubles the pleasure of the experience.

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
