Bespoke holidays and honeymoons to Finland and Lapland
The furthest east of the Scandanavian countries, Finland is a vast expanse of natural beauty with huge wilderness areas, the main inhabitants being reindeer and fish! There are clear lakes surrounded by thick pine forests, deep blue skies and air so fresh you can taste it. The capital, Helsinki is great for a city break and located on the far southern coast is a bustling modern city full of dramatic architecture and trams – visit the fish market on the harbour for a dazzling array of food produce. Finland is also home to some amazing restaurants for a great foodie break.
You can also board a ship here to travel to other parts of Europe or take a Baltic cruise – Helsinki can be combined with Russia and a visit to St Petersburg by train.
To the far north is iconic Lapland – the land of the Sami people who live with their reindeer in this vast tundra. In winter, take a holiday to Lapland to visit Santa in his home in the forest, stay in cosy log cabins and join husky sledge rides and skating and ski trips or longer dog sledding adventures. You can also see the amazing Northern Lights from here – we offer a huge variety of ways to experience the aurora borealis.
There are a whole range of winter sports and activity holidays available in Finland – try snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or snow mobiles to name a few. Enjoy spas and saunas to ease your aching limbs!
Visit Finland in the summer for hiking and camping in the wilderness and forests or experience Finland’s wildlife – long weekends to see Brown Bears can be arranged, viewing from hides up close in the forest. Also to be found here are wolves, lynx, wolverines and owls deep in the pine forests amongst crystal clear lakes.
The food of Finland is at its best in the autumn when markets are full of plentiful mushrooms and colourful berries. Smoked salmon and lots of other fish are sold whole or in pastes and pates along with salami made from reindeer and many different herbs and flavourings. There are several good local cheeses too.

Thank you for booking another amazing holiday for us! Excellent communication about travel details, quick response to any questions and good advice about which trip would suit us best as I was finding it a minefield of possibilities! Highlights were Husky sledding, snowmobiling and the reindeer farm, but really we loved it all. Will be back to book the next holiday!

The trip was amazing! Everything went smoothly - pre travel we received great service from Travel With Jules - Timely communication, great information. All worked well. Nellim Wilderness Lodge was amazing. The staff and the Nordic reps (Katie and Chloe) were fabulous with the children. If I had to pick two highlights it would be the Husky sledging and the Northern Lights.

Nellim Wilderness Lodge was everything we wanted from this holiday and was worth the extra travelling to get to. We loved seeing the Northern lights and the husky team driving was a highlight for all the adults. The kids loved all the excursions and the lack of pressure on timings meant that we all enjoyed the holiday more.
Rutland Family – Santa’s Lapland (Dec 2015)
December 23, 2015
The meeting with Santa was perfect, they took us out on a snow mobile excursion then as we got to the forest we could see lights flickering in a cabin and went to take a look and found Santa! All the activities plus sledging was right outside the lodge. We loved it so much we might go back again!

Lapland, the activities and our log cabin chalet and the private chef was amazing, everything was perfect. The host we had was 1000% faultless to the point that the boys cried when they left and I think that was down to him more than Santa lol! Thanks again for arranging it all given the very short notice - we will be returning to you for future holidays.

We stayed at the Hotel Iso-Syote over New Year for eight nights and had another magical visit to Finland. Our party was two adults and two children and we decided to book a Fjell Top cottage to give us a little independence, but only a very short walk (maybe 100 metres) from the main hotel […]

I just wanted to say thanks for arranging our holiday to Finland, you came up trumps again! The resort had everything we wanted, as you had told us, so we were able to go skiing as well as all the excursions (dog sledding, snowmobiles) you booked for us. The snow and scenery were fantastic, just like the brochure, which was amazing. And it was VERY cold. Quite an experience. So thanks again for your patience, understanding and organisation. We will be back, so brace yourself!

Our honeymoon to Estonia, Helsinki and St Petersburg, was simply wonderful! So many great experiences, many of which we never expected, which was even better! The best city for us was most definitely Tallinn, closely followed by St Petersburg. Sailing across the Baltic on a sea of ice is something we'll never forget either! St Petersburg was superb. Hotel location was spot on. All in all, I hope you get the feeling that we had the time of our life! By far the best holiday we've ever been on exactly what a honeymoon should be and hassle free... The planning and prep that you put in to it meant that we didn't have to worry about a thing! All that's left to say is THANK YOU and we've already recommended you to our friends for future trips.

We found Julie on line after reading that the Northern Lights were predicted to be exceptional in 2012 but didn't know how to book the best trip. She came up trumps with a snow shoeing holiday in Finland, good fun, active but not too challenging. The lights were spectacular and the eco camp a wonderful experience.

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
