Estonia

Estonia is a fabulous place for a holiday whether it’s a city break or a family holiday. Part of the Baltic States and far north enough for romantic snowy winters, Estonia has diverse architecture from wooden windmills to Russian Orthodox Churches.  In one day you can see onion domed churches, German manor houses, rustic western islands and wide sandy beaches or Danish castles!

Easily combined with neighbouring Finland (connect by ferry to Helsinki) or Latvia and Lithuania or why not travel into Russia itself? The medieval capital of Tallinn is an amazing city – one of the prettiest in Eastern Europe. Fairytale towers, colourful houses and views across the Bay of Tallinn, cobbled streets full of arts and crafts, cosy cafes and quaint squares, offering a perfect cultural break.  There is plenty to do just wandering the streets but you can also visit many museums and churches with guides to learn about the history of the city. Food and drink is excellent with a wide choice of restaurants.

Estonia and the Baltic States are also great summer holiday destinations and I can put together any number of itineraries to combine the cities, countryside and beaches of Estonia. Vihula Manor is a stunning countryside spa hotel from where you can visit the Lahemaa National Park which is place of beauty and picture perfect scenery, known as ‘The Land of Bays’. Here pretty green rolling hills, lush forests and a stunning coastline come together to make the perfect countryside retreat. For fans of ‘Lord of the Rings’ this is how we would imagine The Shire! Popular with cyclists, ramblers and those seeking some quiet and a slower place – it’s a great place to really recharge your batteries. The park was founded in 1871 and was the first National Park in the Soviet Union.

Ask me about a self drive or cycling holiday to Estonia and the Baltic States as well as any type of tailor made tour.

Thank you for booking our Christmas Market River Cruise holiday to Germany, we had a really lovely time. The staff on the boat (MPS Rotterdam) and our cabin (Promenade deck) was lovely and the food was out of this world! The best markets were in Bonn and Rudesheim.

Our honeymoon to Estonia, Helsinki and St Petersburg, was simply wonderful! So many great experiences, many of which we never expected, which was even better! The best city for us was most definitely Tallinn, closely followed by St Petersburg. Sailing across the Baltic on a sea of ice is something we'll never forget either! St Petersburg was superb. Hotel location was spot on. All in all, I hope you get the feeling that we had the time of our life! By far the best holiday we've ever been on exactly what a honeymoon should be and hassle free... The planning and prep that you put in to it meant that we didn't have to worry about a thing! All that's left to say is THANK YOU and we've already recommended you to our friends for future trips.

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
