Bespoke and Tailor Made Holidays & Honeymoons to Taiwan

This destination is something of a well kept secret in the Far East!  The compact island offers rich culture and tradition combined with mountains and lakes and fabulous food. Sitting off the south eastern coast of China with Japan to the east and Philippines to the south, the Beijing authorities consider it part of their ‘fatherland’ but Taiwan considers that it is independent. It can be a stand alone destination for a holiday or a stop over on the way to Australasia or why not combine it with China?

A blend of Chinese influence with ancient indigenous tribal culture gives Taiwan a kind of exotic history not found in many parts of the world. As well as the tall buildings, restaurants and shopping malls of the capital, Taipei, it has some stunning country scenery which gave it’s former name Ilha Formosa (Beautiful Island. There are six national parks and 13 national scenic areas which offer great cycling and hiking. In particular the cycle routes are well developed. Natural landscapes include the Sun Moon Lake, Taroko Gorge, waterfalls and rapis, volcanoes and hot springs.

In Taipei enjoy the night markets,Taipei 101 Tower and the National Palace Museum which has exhibits from the mainland dating back 5000 years. Food lovers will have an amazing time here with the fusion of Chinese – Japanese cuisine.  There are good transport links which means getting around is easy.

I set Jules the challenge to find us a family holiday for October half term, somewhere in Asia. A stickler for detail and high standards, I was after luxury, comfort and culture. We had an incredible 10 days in Thailand, a wonderful holiday which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Jules!

One of the things I have come to love about you, Jules, is that you listen and take on board what makes me tick, and then tailor the holiday to fit me, not just try to convince me to fit a holiday in a brochure!
