Bali is the 'Island of the Gods' is one of the 17,000 islands that make up Indonesia. Lying approximately 10 degrees south of the Equator, it is a country with a rich cultural tradition offering a myriad of delights for the visitor: golden beaches, lush green rice terraces, unique arts and crafts, and a friendly and hospitable people. It offers a blissful combination of romance, cultural discovery and exotic rejuvenation. The sightseeing opportunities are endless and the warmth and friendliness of the people will make your Bali holiday truly unforgettable and leave you with memories that last a lifetime.
The best time for Bali holidays is generally between April and October, when rainfall is limited and the days are warm but not humid like the winter months. Holidays to Bali can easily be combined with a Hong Kong or Singapore city break or a beach stay in Thailand or even Malaysia. Bali is a very spiritual island and there are lots of lovely spas and places to practice yoga.

BEACHES OF BALI
Nusa Dua: The white sand beaches of Nusa Dua are glorious, making this a popular destination for unwinding in luxurious surroundings. Tanjung Benoa, the northern beach, is one of the best in Bali for water sports (the Grand Mirage hotel here is great for families). If you like to eat out you will enjoy the Bali Collection restaurant complex where you will find a diverse range of Balinese restaurants. Some popular hotels we feature here include The Conrad (great tennis facilities and good for families), Samabe Suites and Villas for luxury all inclusive or the adults only Bale Nusa Dua all villa resort for honeymooners.
Sanur: the original "resort" of Bali, which still retains its village atmosphere which gives it a great mix of quiet charm and local restaurants. It has a white sand beach from which you can enjoy a range of water sports as the lagoon is protected from the ocean swell by a reef. Bali Pavilions is our favourite here for romantic holidays in a quiet location with 24 villas.
Seminyak: firmly established in the Bali holiday scene as first choice for a luxury break in stylish and lively surroundings. This resort on the sparkling south coast is home to many of Bali’s best hotels, and visitors looking for a bit of sophistication flock here for the serene beaches, resplendent spas, chic boutiques, fine dining and elegant nightlife. The Oberoi and The W are amongst the most luxurious hotels and we love The Amala and The Samaya for boutique style luxury with private villas.
We suggest that you combine these main beach resort areas with the scenic cultural splendour of Ubud in the central jungle areas of the mountains plus many undiscovered and more remote alternative Bali destinations. To the far north west of Bali is Menjangan Island, one of the best snorkelling and dive sites in the world and there is a fabulous eco-lodge nearby - cut yourself off from the rest of the world!

UBUD nestles in the highlands and is dotted with religious shrines, being the cultural heart of Bali. The calmness and creativity of the area make it the perfect place to see traditional dance and buy local handicrafts. There are beautiful spa resorts with zen like atmosphere ... lose yourself in this oasis of calm and peace. Rice paddies cascade down the hillsides to small villages, surrounded by dense jungle and peaceful retreats.

Come here to encounter the largest and most powerful lizard in the world – The Komodo Dragon. This prehistoric reptile is unique to Indonesia and a major point of interest in the outer islands. With un-spoilt volcanic landscape and an abundance of wildlife, these islands are perfect for escaping back to nature.

LOMBOK & THE GILI ISLANDS
The island of Lombok is situated 34 miles to the east of Bali, a 30 minute flight or a longer ferry ride. Though relatively new to tourism, Lombok is fast emerging as one of Asia'a best kept secrets, along with the nearby Gili Islands. Here you can experience some of the world's best snorkelling and diving or just enjoy the quiet beaches and sunshine of this remote part of Indonesia. The wildlife rich, clear waters of the Gili islands are home to turtles, manta rays and an abundance of colourful marine life. Take a trek up Mount Rinjani (Indonesia's third highest mountain) where the surrounding national park is home to stunning waterfalls and wildlife.
